The longest, toughest, most spectacular
mountain bike route in the UK?

What is LEJOG-AMOR?

Designed and first ridden in 2025 by Morris Rodham, a member of Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team, this ride from Land's End to John O'Groats is a challenging, off-road route that goes over or through most of the major mountain areas of the UK. In this respect it differs from all other 'off-road' routes.
The route includes some of the wildest, remotest, and best off-road mountain biking in the UK, including loads of fantastic descents!
It avoids cities and major towns. It avoids all canal towpaths and has hardly any sanitised cyclepaths, which the average mountain biker just finds boring. And when travelling between mountain areas, if no genuine 'off-road' option exists, it uses the smallest possible minor roads, many of which are as narrow as land-rover tracks.
You'll ride 1,600 miles, with 175,800 feet of climbing. The views are spectacular. It really does put the 'mountain' back into 'mountain biking'.
If you LOVE mountains, you'll LOVE this route. That's why it's called AMOR - Adventurous, Mountainous, Off-Road!
Do it all in one go or in sections.
Do it supported or unsupported.
Do it to help raise funds for Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team and/or your preferred charity?
You choose!
